If this prison continues like this... Feminisms Against Fascist Violence and Reproductive Genocide
Main Article Content
Abstract
This text explores the geopolitical implications of our current socio-historical moment, particularly for bodies and territories in the Global South. It examines the rise of right-wing movements globally, engaging with Palestinian thinkers to analyze the concept of reproductive genocide as a key aspect of contemporary fascism, with the attack on Palestine serving as an “exemplary” violence. Additionally, the text connects racial capitalism and environmental racism as concepts situated under the same logic of capitalist-colonial occupation. Finally, it advocates for reclaiming politics as a collective space to safeguard the common good. Theoretical and methodological production in a context of political contingency may easily challenge a vocation of hope, yet it is precisely in such moments that urgency becomes inevitability, and the pessimism of the will, alongside the strength of organized anger, can help us envision alternative futures.
