Abortion, Feminism, and Art in Chile: Solidarity as a Possibility for the Present and the Future

Abstract
In Chile, especially in the last fifteen years, we can identify demands of the feminist movement around abortion that, through art, performance and different manifestations have transversally incorporated care -of the body and of the territory-, interdependence as a central part of our relationships, and situated autonomy, among other issues. In this article we explore some of the creative contributions made by feminisms to think of other present and possible futures anchored in solidarity. Through interviews and analysis of artistic works - one film, one documentary and an illustrated manual - we analyze efforts to transform a repressive imaginary in relation to sexuality, maternity, abortion and reproductive technologies.
